Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

On my last day of freedom before beginning Seminary, I visited the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. With my student discount and the special entry fee for the day, I got in for just $1. Everything about the museum is beautiful – the landscaping, architecture and definitely the art. Visitors to the museum weave in and out of hallways that showcase the museums sculptures, paintings and media art creations.

Both stories of the museum are filled with works from some of the most famous modern artists, including one of my favorites, Andy Warhol. Warhol actually has three different pieces displayed in the museum. In every section of the museum tour guides and art historians are at your service. Several of the museum staff began conversations with me about the art and gave me background information about artists.

The only disappointment was not being able to have lunch at the museum cafe. It is closed for renovations throughout August and September. The Modern Museum is my favorite museum in Fort Worth so far. And it’s going to be very difficult to one-up the experience I had. Here are a few pictures of some of my favorite work at the museum.
