New Mexico Wildfires

On our day off we drove to ABQ. Unfortunately, the forest fires in New Mexico are still blazing. We were able to capture a few photos from the car.

Though we are in our last week of camp and have been protect from the fires, the state of New Mexico is still threatened by the harsh flames and thick smoke. Several towns have been evacuated and the state remains in an extreme fire ban. But, there is hope. Unexpectedly New Mexico has entered a monsoon season. Some parts of the state have received more rain this past week than they have in the entire year-to-date combined! Please be in continued prayer for New Mexico and the people here. We pray the rain will continue to fall and the fires will be stopped.
